Ag tires for Iseki TX-1500 4WD

I don't know how useful this Bolens/Iseki will be in winter, but the turf tires which are on it don't offer a lot of grip. Would there be a gray-market source for inexpensive ag tires (and rims) accessible to me in Ontario? I believe they're 6:12's and 8:16's.

What kind of price for a used set?

I have a 3pt hitch winch which doesn't weigh any more than the 48" rotary cutter. The little tractor might be very handy in the woodlot because it is so easy to turn around.

Has anyone worked a compact tractor in snow?

I have tried running my Bowens Iseki 19hp in the snow. I have the turf tires and a rear blade. You are right it is pretty useless on almost any grade. I have considered chains but bought a 4wd with loader.

from my last experience in the snow with my R1 ag tires, either get R1s with chains or just get chains for the R3s. I have heard the R3s are better in the snow with chains since they have more surface contact that the paddle R1s do and also have more tread contact with the ground.

I have R1's and I drove through about 12 inches of snow today in 4wd. It slides around a bit, but I have not gotten stuck yet..(knock on wood). I used my tractor to split wood yesterday in my woods with my 3ph mounted splitter, and I went through some deep white stuff. It never seems to amaze me how much I can accomplish with this tractor!

Hi Dag,

I have also looked into this extensively. I am not sure how his loader is set up, but I researched putting a loader on mine, and made many phone calls to a few specialist. One method is to cut into the hydraulic lines, and put in hydraulic lines, and adapters. The other method is to attach aPTO powered pump running off of the front PTO that is under the radiator. You will need an extension, however this is a good method because you have a constant RPM, and you maintain a clean hydraulic system for your very expensive hydraulic pump that already exists on the tractor that runs your 3 point hitch. The front end loaders usually have their own reservoir, and I have seen quite a few that run off of the front PTO. I had also looked into running my log splitter off of the tractors hydraulic system, however in the end, I opted for a PTO pump on the rear because introducing dirt and foreign material into the system was a huge concern, as the original hydraulic pumps are not very forgiving, and the screen that filters the system(located under the seat at the end of the high pressure line) is small.

There are some good sources for loaders in Europe, and the PTO pumps can be found fairly easily. They also produce more gallons per minute than the tractor pump, and that equates to more power, and faster lifting. Hope that helps a bit!

Thanks for your information! I just bougt a compact tractor Agria 4800 with a loader on and I am going to take the loader from the agria and mount it on the iseki, the agria is about the same size and same weight as the iseki, so I think the loader will be fine on the iseki. The engine in the agria is worn out and its almost impossible to have spare parts for it, so therefor it will be a donate for the iseki The agria runs the loader with its own hydraulic system so I think its possible to use the iseki system to, But it would be a lot of work to modify the loader brackets to get it fit on the iseki,. Do you know how much weight the front axle can handle on the iseki? With the iseki`s hydraulic system the loader can lift aprox. 250-300 kg, do you think the front axle can handle that kind of stress? Yesterday I changed the fuel filter and bleeded the system and know it runs much better!

Maybe in the future I renovates the agria, maybe I put a Chinese diesel engine or a gasoline kohler or briggs and stratton, the previous owner had made ​​an attempt to put in a car engine, but did not have room for the radiator and exhaust system, nor the hydraulic pump. So now a agria with a Toyota car engine without a radiator, exhaust system and hydraulic pump and cause the car engine its so much bigger the hood doesent fit anymore.. and it is not pretty It looks like a mess. :laughing:
