Thanks for this thread. I've never had a mishap, but I'm gonna be a lot more certain the pto shaft is solid before moving on

I don't normally remove the short shaft from the mid pto
how's that work?
you just leave the pto collar hooked up and pull away from deck? would think hooking back up would have been hard, my 2326 MMM has keyed pto shaft on it.
just curious.

I had made ramps to back over the mower which leaves the collar on the pto.
I then remove the collar if my brain is functioning.
In this situation I left the collar on and didn't switch to the rear pto to till the garden. When I engaged the pto...well the rest is obvious.

I worked with an old cement finisher many moons ago and he would always say "if your gonna be dumb, may as be damn dumb".
