You can always put holes in later if you need them, and they are kind of hard to take out once the're in if you decide you don't need them.

I mounted a couple of the large boxes (.30 cal. ammo box, I think) on the fenders of my Mahindra. I'll get a picture later. They work great and are very functional where they are, but I'm discovering that they're in a very bad place for my elbows. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I think I'm going to have to move them down somewhere similar to where you mounted yours. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I put mine inside a couple of 2" angle iron trays I welded up.
Means I can lift them out and carry them if needed..

I'm waiting for some of these ammo boxes. They are plastic and open on the top and bottom> I saw a link some where on a Chinese tractor board, where someone had mounted them to the outside of the FEL uprights (by the steps to the seat). Open the top, but the chains in, open the bottom, let the chains out,....

I will post pics when I get them mounted.
