Hey all,

This past summer, I helped a friend that owns about 88 acres of ground. 65 acres is woods on a bluff. Of the remaining ground, he has 10ish acres of hay. He also bales road ditches where he can. Instead of buying either older equipment or paying through the nose on all new equipment, he went with European walk-behind machines. Check out the pics.

It's a BCS 853 Diesel running a Caeb Baler. The first pic shows me running a Molon hay rake/tedder in front of a BCS 852 gasoline. He's had it about 5 years now. I posted a long thread about this when I went up to help him last summer. Had I noticed the haying forum before today, I'd have done the same here. Here's a link to my discussion last summer -

Reminds me of one year that we cut our hay with a sickle bar off of an old Ariens Tiller, then piled it up loose and covered it with a tarp.

We never did that again.

I like the mini round bales.
