LOL, I'm going to have to use that one from OldnSlo! Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Meh, the Candians I've met aren't too bad. Most of them spend their money down here. I also have some roots there, my paternal grandparents are from Newfoundland.

Hey Ken, I still can't believe I found a WWII submarine sitting in a field in Muskogee. I was just there in December, the USS BatFish was made here in Kittery Maine. My brother is currently at Ft Sill.

BTW, the better half is from Berks County PA, Fleetwood actually. They're a red tractor family. I'm not allowed to purchase a John Deere because it would make my wife's beloved grandfather roll in his grave...

Up here you are just "from away". Mainers want your money, but they don't want you to be here. Their favorite past time is complaining about Flatlanders, and that includes anyone from away.

Well guys, after several months of delays beyond my control I was finally to bring home a tractor yesterday. I settled on a Yanmar LX4500 HST and put it to work today box-blading my driveway. Unfortunately this week I've been going through a rough patch with the wife, but today's seat time put a cheerful smile back on my face and I think she'll be impressed when she sees the work I've done tomorrow.

As for the tow rig, the truck is a restoration project I've been working on the last 2 years. The system is 24 volt but I've stepped it down to 12 volt to run the trailer lights and brakes. The trailer belongs to my neighbor. Its a little slow on hills and noisy but a blast to drive.

Congrats neighbor! I'll have to keep an eye out for your sporty truck :D

U get that at the Kioti dealer in Lebanon?

No, I actually crossed the border and picked it up in New Boston. I think the Lebanon guy and his son in Portsmouth offer great service but I wanted to do all the maintenance myself and I think I got a cheaper price in New Boston. That and I was looking forward to the longer drive. If it requires a major warranty repair I may try the closer dealer first.

By the way, when I say its slow on hills, I bet I was the only vehicle that crossed the Piscataqua river bridge in the northbound lane that day going 35mph!
