Are there problems mixing fluids among machines, aka Bobcat or other machines which are non-super UDT. I am weighing rear remotes on the new L48 which I have no Hyd. attachments for (yet) and want to know if I should even consider contaminating my machines with other fluids. Changing the fluid and filters in the L48 is around $400+.

You don't know what kind of maintenance or what kind of fluids are used when maint is eventually done. I personally would not risk my machine by using hydro attachments that I did not know the history on. Just my opinion

My concern exactly, don't want to pollute my machine like a junkie with a dirty needle.

I've seen a few people say hook up, put the return line in a bucket, flush it a bit and add makeup fluid to your unit. If you HAVE to use a rental unit that's probably the thing to do.

Thats a good idea if you don't mind paying for the extra fluid and basically servicing the rental unit.
