Mowing Any one use a disc mower on a 55

Looking into getting a disc mower for hay. I am just guessing that 7 ft is probably about the max for a 55. Mostly flat field with one small hill area, but will not be cutting across the slope.
Any experiences?

I use 5.5 foot Lely disc mower on LS xr3135c with turbo no issues in tall grass mower weighs over 1200 lbs. tractor handles exceptionally well. I would assume 7 ft should be good on 55 hp.
