Anybody ever sell a tractor on ebay

Just wondering if anyone has ever sold a tractor on ebay, it looks like it would need to be listed under heavy equipment which would put the selling fee at 4%,, which on say a $18000 tractor would be about $720,, I believe there's also a listing fee ($20),, from what I understand if you were to sell a car/vehicle/powersport/other category it looks like the maximum fee would be $250,, so they don't go by the 4%, that kinda sucks if it is the case, just curious if anyone has any experience with it, thanks

No selling experience.

Bought my backhoe off ebay. Seller lied about everything I asked before buying. I managed to come out okay I think but won't know till I'm done with it and sell it. I didn't bother trying to get any compensation. Figured it wouldn't do any good since I wired the money in advance and it got shipped 650 miles to me.

I have bought and sold implements on eBay.

When selling, I like having buyer's money in my account prior to buyer showing up to pick up equipment.

I have over 600 transactions on eBay with a 100% positive rating. Regular eBay buyers appreciate value in this.

My time is valuable. I am unwilling to spend my time with serial Craigs List type buyers.
My time is valuable. I will not arrange shipping for purchasers, nor wait for a trucker. Pick up only.

If you decide to sell on eBay, time your auction so it ends on a Saturday or Sunday evening, if possible.

I have sold a tractor on Craigslist and I sold one at a yard sale (believe it or not) and as jeff9366 says, it takes time and you have to deal with some REAL characters but I have met some very nice people who purchased all the things I have sold on Craigslist. Good luck on your sale.
