Anybody have a wiring diagram for a 66-68 JD 2510 gasser?

A friend inherited a JD 2510 from his father. For his part, the father made so many repairs or modifications to the wiring that I want to rewire the ignition and charging circuits. As it is I'm involved to chase down a 1700mA drain on the battery that appears to be coming from the brand new alternator.

At the same, the wiring is shoddy and I want to sort out the wiring while I'm there.

Suggest getting the service tech manual for the 2510, and all the wiring diagrams are there.

Another suggestion, visit the Deere dealer parts and ask to see the same. Get a printed copy from them.

Other members may also have what you need.

The IT (OEM service manual) service manual doesn't have a wiring diagram. A diagram for a 2520 would work as well. Anybody with anything from the era may be helpfuiul. Thanks.

An IT manual is not an OEM service manual. It is an aftermarket manual similar to a Chilton or Motors manual in the automotive world. Do not bother with a 2520 schematic, there will be enough differences to make you crazy.
