Anyone own the new Land Pride LR37 rake yet?

For those of you who have the word "Hydraulics" in your business name it may be simple and easy, but I think I'm going to need pictures...:confused2:

My limited understanding is a diverter valve lets you choose between two separate functions while a third function lets you do two simultaneously.

When I purchased the tractor I had a W R Long third function installed for a snow plow and grapple. (You can see the ungainly ugly bulbous handle in the second picture.)

Would I need to add some kind of "button" to an existing lever to switch between functions like the WR Long? Or could I buy a Scorpion hand grip with an extra button or two to handle the switching of the diverter and third function and get rid of that ugly handle? (Which I will be replacing anyway)

Also for the rear of the tractor are there add on brackets for the additional remotes?

You guys sure know how to spend money!

Dave

Dave, take a look here. This is a single OEM rear remote turned into 4. You need to take a single diverter, find a place to mount it at the back side of your tractor, run 2 hoses from one of your current remote sets to the diverter valve. There will be 2 pairs of female QDs on the valve itself. You now have 4 rear remotes. I supply a Scorpion control grip to go onto, say your green handled control lever. (the green knob gets removed) Now that 3rd control valve actually controls your 3rd and 4th set or rear remote outlets which you would plug the implement lines into the diverter valve with the 2 pairs or remote outlets on it. For an example the black control is for the top link, the blue control is for the side link and the green(now a black scorpion handle) would control your RTP40108 blade angle and push the button and move the control and you change the offset of the boom of the rear blade.

It is way easier than what it seems. I tell people that the hardest thing about the whole deal is trying to decide on where to mount the diverter valve. Everything else is just hooking stuff up.

You will not be able to use the loader control grip for the rear unless you want to go with a diverter off of the loader valve or use a true 3rd function valve for the rear. Now that seems like it could get a bit confusing. :confused2: When you decide to get that replacement control grip, give me a call, or email. ;)

Not wanting to hijack the thread but how much tilt angle can you get on the blade using the Top and Tilt Kit that you sell?
I know that when I am cleaning deep ditches that I have a LOT of angle on the blade. Not having top and tilt I figured that it gave you hydraulically what is basically there with the mechanical adjustment from the manufacturer design.
Another way of asking is what is the cylinder stroke length? Since you only have half of that so that the tilt can go both ways how much angle do you get. Obviously a function of blade design and cat 1, 2, or 3 three point lift effects the answer as well.

Typically it ranges between 9*-12*. As far as how much adjustment, that varies. Typically it is NEVER less than OEM and usually 1-2" more. There are some that come with 5" of adjustment and I am able to get 8". If you are cleaning out ditches that have a steep side, then manually adjust the blade tilt and fine tune it using the tilt function on the hitch.

Don't get me wrong, the tilt on the blade gets you 15* (RBT45 series anyway), so a bit more that the 12* that I get with my 75HP tractor. But that is not the reason why to have the 3pt hydraulically tilt instead of the blade. When you have the blade tilt instead of the 3pt hitch, that is all that tilts, the rear blade. Now what do you do when you use a box blade or a land plane or a landscape rake, get off and manually adjust. Not me.

Kubota is going to be there, and Land Pride is what they sell. At the AG show that I go to, the Kubota setup has a lot of LP implements. I know that they usually have at least one RBT series blade on display. If you have time, you should still go. These shows are GREAT, especially if you have never been before. ;)
