Anyone pull a moldboard plow behind a two wheeler?

Hey all,

I just recently purchased a BCS 850 to compliment my 715. My plan is to save my pennies and buy a two way rotary plow by next
fall since I now have a machine capable of running it. Until then,
I'd like to try out a moldboard plow. I don't think and 850 would
pull a 12 inch, but would like to try.

Has anyone on here pulled a plow behind their machine?

Here's a youtube video of a Honda running a plow. he's dualled up,
but it's so muddy his duals are plugged. If I had that two way plow,
I'd be turning and plowing back, not backing up to go the same way...

Man, that guy is a great steerer. Those lines are as straight as I could draw them with a pencil and ruler.

Nice work being done with that machine,,,, notice it's pretty nice dirt, no rocks,, I wonder if its a heavy type? Never plowed using a bottom plow on a walkbehind, I have only used the rotary on a Gravely. There were plenty of these turn plows used on walkbehinds years ago,, I suppose if you had enough weight they would do just as good a job as something with 4 wheels, just need the right sized bottom for the machine and the willingness to walk.

When I was a kid, my dad had an old Simplicity and we pulled a 12" moldboard plow with it a lot. It pulled it fine. Of course he had wheel weights and loaded tires.

Say Bill in WI, one of the videos shown alongside your Holder link had something I've never seen before. Just what kind of implement is it? A form of rotary plow?

That Honda Vari is an interesting machine,, definetly a different concept,,, here's a link to the site and I was able to find it in english. Modular System But like most 2 wheeled machines I don't see it available here in the states?? Lots of info on the site,, video, specs. If I calculated it right he looks to be running an 8" bottom.

I once plowed with a two wheel David Bradley. Think it was a 10" plow and about a 7 HP engine. Concrete wheel weights on the wheels.

I don't know about the BCS, but can tell you that the Gravely rotary plow is an entirely different beast. It will whip the ground like mashed potatoes.
