I have a hard time getting the tractor to go into reverse using the shuttle shifter. I have no problem with it popping out once its in but sometimes I have to cycle the linkage to fwd position then reverse a couple times. I took the access plate off inside the cab and the linkage right at the transmission is horribly slack. It doesn't look like it worn, just a poor design. I see the newer model 254s have a better linkage system and was wondering if anyone has upgraded their linkage? If so what parts do I need?
