Yeah it was a fun night to be driving Frank. Most everyone was doing 30 mph and the plows could not even come close to keeping up with the snow. I had the fun drive from Orchard Park to Cherry Creek and back to Silver Creek. Made it home by 3am and decided I was not going anywhere today /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I was surprised to only see two cars off the road all day yesterday. One was at night when the main storm hit and the other was earlier in the day. We did have one of our trees break from the weight of the snow. Hopefully it will let up before too much damage occurs.

My condolences. For once, the weather is really nice here. The winds, are another story. It has been REALLY windy all weekend. Other than that, the sun is shining. Oh, we will get up near 60 this week. Just thought I would rub it in a little.

yep Robert, i just took the Garbage out to the road and thier is about 14" of the stuff on the Driveway(will get rid of it in the morning) i have some branches that broke, this snow is one of the wettest i have seen this year i can just imagine the weight load on my roof /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Actually, as much I would hate to see snow right now, I do think your photos have a certain beauty to them. They have a serene feeling.

yep u are right , it was a nice sene to wake up to, the only bad part was i had to put on coat, hat ,boots, walk 120 ft to paper box, then walk back 120ft , take off boots, hat, coat. poured another cup and read my sunday paper and looked out and watched it snow. A SUNDAY LIKE THIS! PRICELESS

yep u are right , it was a nice sene to wake up to, the only bad part was i had to put on coat, hat ,boots, walk 120 ft to paper box, then walk back 120ft , take off boots, hat, coat. poured another cup and read my sunday paper and looked out and watched it snow. A SUNDAY LIKE THIS! PRICELESS

We had to drive from our house to Erie PA yesterday morning for a family function. It normally takes 90 minutes. It took us 3 and a half hours! We started up Ohio Route 11 (4 lane) and by the time we got three exits north of I-80, we realized we were the only car and we weren't going to make it. Besides the snow, there were several downed trees across the highway. We turned around and went across I-80 and up I-79, which was fine until we got to Meadville... Tractor trailers, buses, and cars were off the road everywhere!
We finally got to Erie, only two hours late. We missed the function at the church, but we all went to eat at Hoss's Steak House. My wife said "At least we're getting a good meal." My idea of fun isn't driving 3 and a half hours to eat dinner, but when we sat down at our table, the power went out at Hoss's. Not a good day! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
We left back for the return trip around 4:00 pm and it was the same thing from Erie to Meadville, then it turned to rain and the roads were clear. By the time we got to Ohio, the sun was shining and all of the snow from this morning had already melted! It was almost 50 degrees! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I had to head up to Cherry Creek this morning and Rt 83 was closed down. So I had to take the back roads around and there are a lot of branches in the road. Don't even know why 83 was shut down but they were just putting the baricades up when I got to it. I had about 12-14" on my truck this morning and it was nice and heavy. At least this snow is fun to drive thru being as thick as it is. Hope you didn't have much trouble getting your lids off your garbage cans.

Weather in Oregon is wet, windy and some sun. Got to stop at the Air Museum in Oregon where the Spruce Goose is at now. See attached pic. Don't know what plane it is. But liked the colors. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ROHN: now you know my fondness for airplanes, are you trying to get me to come out to OREGON? to vist that museum? this past fall went to a n air museum in NIAGARA FALLS NY (only about 1 hour drive) could have spent the entire day in their MODEL airplane exhibit, they had hundreds of them.
