Are the buckets known to bend on Kubota loader?

Yep, buckets are known to bend on Kubota loaders, John Deere loaders, Caterpillar loaders and pretty much every other loader that comes to mind.

To straighten out the "Smile", fully curl the bucket. Drive into a tree. SLOWLY! Apply enough pressure to bend the bucket just past straight to allow for spring back. If you go too far and make a "frown", uncurl the bucket, push the cutting edge into the tree and lift. That will bend it back to a "smile". You might do this numerous times before you get it right.

Well my bucket on the Kubota is still straight, and I have done some pretty dubious things with it. But bent the bucket on my old Long 2360 once, lets see nose down at side of the road, rear wheels on pavement, low gear, lifting and curling at same time on tree stump while pushing with all it had.. humm.. result a nice smile in the bucket. It happens when you do stupid stuff, fix the bucket and go on with life, and do better next time I say.

Bent my Kubota bucket too, had forks on and was trying to get a stump out of the ground. The stump was too solid for me to lift out so I stuck one fork under the stump and drove forward as I rolled the bucket, bent the lip on the bucket. I don't consider the bucket to be weak in any way, but I did bend it.:laughing:

Find a rock or parking block. Put down pressure on the middle of the bucket. This is most likely how the bucket got bent and will nearly straighten it. Cutting off the existing edge and rewelding on a new heavier edge is a time proven method. Tooth bucket way to aggresive for most snow removal. Quick hitch is a must on my next purchase.

Down pressure does nothing, tractor does not weigh enough.

You can try chaining both sides of the bucket down to something solid, tree stumps work well. Then put a bottle jack under the center of the "smile" and jack the cutting edge upwards. You'll have to go slightly past straight, and it will spring back a bit.

I used a chain hoist to straighten mine, wrapped it around the whole bucket in the middle where the bend was, then hooked it back to itself. Pulled the hoist chain to "squeeze" the bucket past straight a few times, more and more each time until it was good again.

My bad, for some reason I thought Tractor was new, yes I agree it should of been a talking point before you signed papers.

Sorry but an 1 1/2" bend is a lot in 72" unless the edge was down in the grass
or dirt when you looked it at you really should have been able to see it.
Hopefully you can get fixed.

Those of you saying I bought a used machine so it's "as is were is". That is not how it was presented at the time of sale or delivery. It was that the whole unit was covered, and the sales guy delivered it, he told me if I had any issues to let him know. The day I looked at the machine was late in the day and snowing so the bent cutting edge didn't stand out. I'm not looking for a new bucket. I would like them to offer some assistance in getting it straight and reinforced, or take the cutting edge back and I'll buy a skidsteer bucket.

Also my question was more about are these things known to bend. Which from some of the reply's I would say my answer is yes. Which to me (not that it matters at this point) is poor design. I have seen buckets just out an out abused and not bend like this.
