I have an opportunity to purchase a used set of Pat's quick hitch. However they are either of an older design if Pat's or not genuine. Can anyone identify these? Im not happy with my current quick hitch I bought from HF so I would like to give these an opportunity depending on what I find out. Thanks

The set I bought in 2003 didn't have that round finger hole, otherwise, look similar. I thought Pat's were new design around that time, but I might be mistaken.

They look like my second set, a more recent design.

Those look like my first set of Pat's EZ change. I gave that set to my SIL and bought the cast set for my new Kubota (with the telescoping drag links). Nothing wrong with the original design.....you should be good to go.

Now with the telescoping links and Pat's on the ends......and a hydraulic top link......I got about the best combination one could want. Pretty versatile. :)

So it's safe to say they are geniune but just an older design from the recent casts. If that's the case, what would be a fair price?

New ones from Agri Supply are $170, including spacer bar.
Used - Maybe worth $80 max?

Yeah I was thinking $75. Guess I'll get them

One thing I will caution you about: My dealer cut the PTO shaft on the rototiller I purchased with my BX2200 so it would mount safely. Then later, I added the Pat's hookup. Shortly after, I was tilling, the rear tire rolled over a large dirt clump, and the PTO separated. These things are so short linked, the shafts are short. I fixed it by removing the pto shafts and buying longer at a local driveshaft store. Just something to think about.

Yes I'm already aware. I actually already measured my pto shafts and another 3-4" will still leave plenty of shaft overlap. My biggest concern was if it was geniune and not a knockoff brand.

They look like the recent ones I purchased directly. Not like those I bought 6 or 7 years ago. Don’t care for the new design that latches the locking lever engaged. Doesn’t latch on the right hand side any of my attachments. The attachment itself gets in the way of being able to engage it. Not a big deal. My older set doesn’t include the latching feature and never had a problem needing it to be latched. The spring tensions appears to be sufficient by itself.
