Why and how long did the grill last before you had to replace parts.

I am frustrated with the $250 grills that need $100 worth of parts every couple of years

I've owned a Weber grill for ten years and I can tell you they are worth every penny. The auto igniter has worked on the first click every time, yes every time over ten years, winter and summer. The build quality is top notch and does not show 10 years of constant use. I have never replaced any part on my BBQ during this time.

I'm sure there are other grills of a similar quality but in my opinion you can't go wrong spending extra money to buy a quality grill.

Bought our Weber grill in 2006 and haven't needed any parts yet. Keep a cover on it during Summer and indoors during Winter. Also helps to keep them clean.

I'm looking at the Genesis model myself, anyone own this one? $750 about right for the 310 model?

I had two other brands in past years. Needed a burner or ignitor every year or two. My Weber is four years old and looks like new. No maintenance required other than cleaning.

Yes, they are worth it. I have a Genesis silver that was purchased for me by my parents as a house warming gift in the Spring of 2004. This BBQ gets used year round and is exposed to the elements here in Michigan.

The one thing I remember vividly is the instructions were horrible as there were no words, only pictures lol.... This does not in any way change my view of the grill. It really gets a 10 out of a 10 rating from me.

I have had to replace the flavorizer bars last year. I was very impressed they lasted 9 years with the direct abuse they take. No other parts have had any issues, been replaced, broke or performed less than perfect since day one.

I chose this BBQ as this is what I learned on as my parents have the same one. Their BBQ has to be at least 16 years old if not more and flawless.

My only recommendation is buy the weber rotisserie accessories.... Unbelievable !!! Amazing what it does to chicken, homemade kabobs etc.... Spend it and as stated above, cry once. Eating at home pays for itself!!

I have 3 weber grills. My kettle is more than 20 years old and no rust. I have replaced the grates on it. I also have a bullet smoker several years old and it is great, no rust. My gas grill is about 5 or 6 years old and is great. No rust. The ignitor did go out a year or two ago and I have not gotten around to replacing it. Also my stovetop burner won't ignite, somthing is awry there. However I love these grills, they are definitely worth the money. The biggest problem I had with the "cheap" gas grills is that the burners, then the grill itself would just rust and fall apart. Not so with this Weber, and it has no cover though it is under a covered porch. I took off the regulator and plugged it directly into my big propane tank and it works great. except for the stove top burner which I rarely need, and the ignitor which I should replace.

I have a Summit S-420 which is now 3 years old. We use it every week of the year, including this last winter in MN...-20F temps were common. I love it. Before that, I had the grill that would be the equivalent of the Spirit E-320 today, but I have had it for over ten years. Why did I get a new one?? I moved the old one out our to our lake cabin and it is still going strong--gets used every weekend in the summer months. No replacement parts needed on either one over their lives thus far. Spend the money, get over it, and use it!!
