My wife is building shelves for the linen closets in the hallway, hall bath, and master bath and for the small kitchen pantry. She decided to build the shelves out of plywood and finish them with polyurethane. She is attaching a piece of trim to the front of each shelf to hide the edge of the plywood. She temporarilly attached screws in the ends of the shelves in order to hang the shelves from the ceiling as the polyurethane dries. The shelves shown hanging in the picture do not yet have polyurethane applied to them.

We went with plywood because we don't really care for the wire shelving systems; in addition the wire shelves are expensive. All our shelves will be adjustable.
We now have shelves in the kitchen pantry and in the hall linen closet thanks to my wife. I did almost no work on building the shelves; my wife made them.

The shelves are all adjustable. We used heavier hardware in the kitchen pantry than the other closets to enable the pantry shelves to carry more weight.

The shelving for the hall and master bath linen closets is still in progress.

Aah yes in the last picture is seems that the child has reached the expandable arm stage where you can't keep them out of anything. Enjoy her while she is small she sure won't stay that way long. Mine are 28 and 34 now I don't know where the time has gone. Our son has his own 2 yr old minature ninja terrorist, I love pointing out to him it is so much fun watching someone else wrestling the octopus

Thursday we accepted an offer to sell the river property! Closing is this Thursday. The buyer is paying cash. I don't want to celebrate too soon because anything could happen between now and then. However, I'm hopeful.

Congratulations!!!! That is great. I can't believe how fast that closing happened. Even with bare land, it normally takes at least 30 days. The cash deal must have accelerated the process.:cool2:

BTW: I sure miss those two nice pictures that used to be in your signature.;););)
