Anybody who has a 2810 HST please take notice.
The other day I was mowing as done many days before and the tractor acted strange. I had no control over the speed nor direction of my tractor and even better yet it would not stop moving! Neither of the pedals had any resistance to them and dropped to the floor board.
There have been a number of items people have had the pleasure of experiencing and passing along the fix. Heres another. Crawl up under the tractor where the Hydro filter is and look on the right side of the tractor. There is a lever coming off the pump with a tie rod end and rod which goes back to the hydro pedals. (forward and reverse). Check the jam nut it should take a 12 mm wrench on the tie rod end and make sure it is tight. Mine apperantely was never tightened at assembly and from a couple years of use pulled the threads out of the aluminum rod end. This is a left hand thread, parts are not really expensive but. . . if you have to change it well it is a real problem. I had to do alot of grinding to get the bad rod end out. Its a simple fix but real hard to get to. Do your self a favor and give it a look. Sorry I have no pictures for this. .John
