Loader B-2620 FEL won't curl or dump

I was using the FEL to remove a small stump. Dumped the bucket so I could short chain the stump using the chain hook on the top of the fell before I hooked up the chain the dump went into detent and wouldn't stop until it had reached full dump. I could curl the bucket up but could not dump it again. The FEL control lever couldn't actuate the fel dump valve. checked for obstructions and found none. the control lever will raise and lower the fel but has no affect on the curl dump actions. looks like the valve has something jammed in it. Left an email for my dealer's service dept as I am guessing I need a new valve. Believe the warranty is up so I am SOL....my 14' single axle trailer won't haul the tractor with the FEL, loaded tires, and BH subframe. I guess I could drive the ten miles on the roads but am a bit reluctant to do so with all the tourist traffic this time of year......

Swap hyd hoses around on the connector block and see if the functions/non working functions change.

yup....just switched hoses and I can curl and dump! However, I can't lift the FEL......guess that means the valve is shot! Hopefully this won't take a second mortgage or my first born!

Valve may not be shot. May just be some impurity blocking the flow in that one section or could be in lever. Switching lines changed the action your lever was telling the hyd fluid to do. Holding lever forward says "drop" change connections and holding lever forward now says "curl" but I do believe you now have it nailed down to lever thru connector block.

Not sure how close you are to civilization, but I buy my hoses at a hydraulic place that rebuilds valves. There might be someone around you that could do the same thing. That seems cheaper than buying a new valve.

Maybe one of the valve spools (lift) is not self-centering when it should....creating a blocked passage?

Just got back from Dealer who said it should be covered under warranty and if it isn't then he'll make a call to Kubota and get it covered. Evidently there has been problems with the detent on these valves. He mentioned he had replaced a few so far......Also mentioned that they wouldn't rebuild this one but replace it instead. Glad these guys are on it. Truck will pick up this week!

It could just be the linkage has come apart in the valve. Each valve has a bolted on swivel connection to the joy stick. If bolts get loose and fall off, then valve wont work. I had this happen on my Yanmar, luckily all the bolts, nuts were still laying under the boot when I pulled it up. 5 minutes to bolt everything back together and I was good to go. If under warranty and transport isn't going to cost you $200, just have them replace it, otherwise it might be wise to lift the boot and check it out.
