Backhoe B21 Hyd Pressure Adjustment

I finally got around to adjusting the hydraulic pressure on my B21. As requested, I compiled a writeup and tool list. Its in Word 2003 format. I had to put it on my website because the forum software complained it was too large.

I was thinking that I'll will probably recheck the pressure when I change the hydraulic fluid just to keep an eye on things.

Mine is getting close to needing a change of fluid and filters. I think I will check and set the pressure after the change.

I realize this post is old but, I really want to thank the original poster for the time and information he has provided. The procedure he shows is a wonderful way to monitor any hydraulic system for maximum efficiency. Lets face it nowadays everyone is looking for the most we can get out of everything. He brings it home with a simple way to monitor a system that often gets neglected because all anyone ever does is check the level and maybe change the fluid at the appropriate time. I think these numbers would be great to have in front of you as your operating the machine and have the ability to monitor when the filters are getting clogged. I personally will be adding a gauge to my machine that stays on it all the time.
Thanks again for some valuable info. I'm thinking a short video when I add it to my machine will be coming or some photos.

Very nice write up Tony. Checking the pressure on my B21 has been on my too do list and rhis will be a big help.
