I had my local dealer pick up my B2150 for the "Spring Service" and to check into a slight "hesitation" when I am traveling and then turn.
He has had it for nearly 3 weeks now, and today he called me and said he had completed the regualy maintenance but the mechanic said that the "Throw-Out Bearing" is going bad as he hears the indicative "noise" when the tractor is revved up a bit and he pushes in the clutch. They told me they have to break the tractor in two and while it was apart, it is SOP to go ahead and replace the clutch.
He also told me there is some sort of problem with the steering.
The price so far (NOT including the steering probelm which has yet to be diagnosed) is $1,775. ( This includes Pick up an delivery service.)
He said he has to order the necessary parts and it will be another week before they can finish it.
I have always trusted this dealer, but I wan to be sure that this all sounds legit to you all.
From doing some research, it does seem like they do have to break it in two.
But I never heard any unusual "noise" nor noticed any real problem wiht the steering.
Maybe it's because I use it all the time and it just seemed normal to me.
I told him to go ahead and do the work since it was there at his shop and I already had nearly 3 weeks into it. Hopefully the parts aren't coming from Japan.
But MAN ! You should see my freakin' grass. I'm sure the neighbors are talking about me.
What do you all think ? Any comments ?
Thanks.....
