I hardly ever use my tractor after dark ,only when it is necessary yo plow snow at dark, today for the first time this year i had to plow right at dark, noticed that the tach ON LEFT and the fuel and Temp gauges ( on the right ) were not lit. all the other indicators light up, 4 way flasher. glow plugs, etc. now for the life of me i can't remember if they ever lit up for it cold have been 2 years ago since i plowed at night. my questiom is SHOULD THEY LIGHT UP and if so why are they not? can't be a bulb as they would probably have their own bulbs. the head lights work and so do the hazard lights. Ain't no big deal as i always know how much fuel is in it and the RPM i can tell by the sound, would like to keep an eye on the temp gauge tho ,but just curious? I think i am having a senior moment. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Frank...I qualify for having senior moments too but your instincts are correct. B2400s do not have lighted dash panels although at times I wish mine did. Maybe someone could come up with any "easy" retro-fit ??? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Frank:

Been watching weather channel........seems as though the Lake Erie snowmachine is in full tilt. I get a kick out of the way in builds up over here by Toledo, churns across the lake, gets past Cleveland and begins to dump on the Cleveland-east suburbs and then does a dance on the Buffalo-Lackawana area. By the time the lake freezes enough to negate the "snowmachine", you all look like the a big cake with bunches of white frosting. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Rick : thanks for confirming what i thought, but for the life of Me i could not remember if it was lighte or not, and you are also right THEY SHOULD BE. Even tho i don't use it much in the dark, sure would be a nice feature.

DARYL: you are correct, we have been getting hammered, last Thursday 11/17 by 3 pm I had a little over 20" of the wettest heaviest snow i have ever moved, took me 1/2 hr, just to get the first pass to the road, had to picking up the snow and dumping to the side, once i got that done it went easier, but was still out for 3 hrs, well i di make a few passes for the neighbor, and i have to clean by my mail box on the corner. Had plenty of power, but it so heavy i could only push so much then i lost traction, BET YOUR 5030 would have helped. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Frank:

My 5030 is probably helping someone else. I had on the classified's here this fall and had a few bites, but it went in on trade. Got 23.5K sight unseen from a new dealer who knows I take care of my tractors. Got an M9000HDCC3 which is an M9 with a creep set installed. Got the big loader with a quick detach, 84" hd bucket, Kubota pallet forks (nice heavy forks), 2 sets of remotes with flow control and the Ultra II cab. Had to order it and it took almost 2 months. It came through with the M95 engine. She'll move that Buffalo snow for sure. Not much here yet. About 6 " or so. Not enough to mount the Lucknow yet. I'll be doing all my business with the new dealer. He is a little farther away but he is much more fair in dealings with me. You'd think after 7 Kubotas from the same dealer he'd have shown a little more attention to my needs rather than insulting me. My old dealer offered me 17K on a trade and exactly the same price for the M9.......I was insulted. I knew that wasn't a good trade in. I didn't price shop ahead of time, I just knew. There are only 2 dealers within 50 miles so I went to the other and got a shock. Needless to say, I am "plan B" now. The new dealer is a CNH dealer and an SCH stocking distributor too. I'll be dealing with him on my hay tools and replacement parts also.

The plan B dealer even talked to the Kubota rep and Kubota extended their 4.99/84 program past the end date to allow me to participate. Actually, I went 30 days past the program and still got the rate.

I never ordered a tractor and had it built before. A new experience. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Think I should change my forum name to something else? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I still have my 1085 Massey for those really heavy jobs. Bare, she weighs about 11K /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
