I have a BX22 3PH rig and plan to purchase a B26 - just seeing if I can save a few buckaroos.

RichT, has your dealer told you that the B26 does not come with the 3pt arms? I am like Curtis and assumed the 3pt was standard equipment. I haven't heard of anyone having to purchase them separately. They are standard on the B21, L39 and L48 I am sure.

RichT,
I recently purchase a nicely equipped B26 and the 3PT hardware is included check out the photos how they are stored along the frame on each side. You may want to wait to see if the 36 month zero financing comes back and begin talking your way into your best deal.

We purchased our B26TLB-V for $27191. The TLB-V version includes the BT820V Backhoe without Bucket but includes factor installed Backhoe auxiliary hydraulics kit. We added the TL2142 60 HD ROUND BACK BUCKET, BT1973 18 inch Trenching Bucket with QUICK ATTACH COUPLER, BT1975 Hydraulic Thumb, L8045 FRONT WORK LIGHTS, L8043 HORN KIT, B8011 BACK-UP ALARM KIT and L9467 Stabilizer Flip-Pad Set.

I have also included the 2007 price list.

As for advise to anyone who plans on purchasing a new Kubota. Get quotes from multiple local dealers. For those of who don't have tax exemption, I recommend purchasing out of state with delivery included to avoid the tax. It helps to make multiple visits to discuss price and don't appear in a hurry. You may find the salesperson at your dealership not providing a good price. You can discuss this with other sales people or the management. Tell them you would like to make your purchase from them but the price is better elsewhere. It helps to maintain a friendly atmosphere while working on your deal. I you display a bad attitude you will limit you chances of getting the type of cooperation you are looking for, like saving some big $$.

I found the salesman I worked with had little or no leverage on any options I wanted, such as the thumb. He provided all discounts on the B26s' the three main components, the tractor, the loader and the backhoe. My pricing was as follows: total cost for the B26 was $25636.47 after adding all my options the break down was as follows: tractor with backup alarm, additional front work light and horn $16500.00, loader was $5805.47 and the backhoe with thumb and pads was $4886.00. The backhoe seemed to have the best discount. I guess some of the reason I was able to get such a good price was he added an additional 10% discount through a Kubota sponsored multiple equipment owner programs. He basically provided details of other equipment I purchased in the past such as tractors, lawnmowers and ATVs submitted the application and got approval to get an additional discount. The additional Land Pride purchases were competitively discounted as well. I think it helps to purchase all you may need at the same time because the dealership will be more inclined to provide better discounts due to the larger sale. Also you can save on the tax and financing when you qualify. Currently Kubota only offers 24 month zero percent financing which doesn't work for most of us. I got the 36 month zero percent financing which was pushing me to a higher payment than I wanted. I also hear there is a 15% increase on deliveries after February of 2008. You may want to plan on your purchase to align with the release of the next Kubota zero percent financing promotion in March. Hopefully the 36 month will come back for the B26 and other sot out tractors.

For those of you interested in B26 photos I left 23 in the Member Photo Galleries under SamWalton or link at http://www.tractorbynet.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=48255
Enjoy

That is a nice little machine - pretty impressive in person - got to see one sitting beside a B3030 cab, and the B26 is a very stout little TLB.

That's a great price you got, too, Sam.

Most would argue of the high cost of the B26, so thanks on the price complement. You can't put a cab or belly mower on the B26 TBL because of its frame and backhoe design. I am very pleased with it abilities. The only short fall in my opinion is the 19.5 hp PTO. I can live with that because my goal is construction.

As an introduction I would like to say Hello to everyone here at TractorByNet, I am new to the (TBL) Tractor Backhoe Loader operator and owner. I am an electronics and electrical engineering technician by trade. I have always be a do-it-your-self design build maintain or repair anything. It has always been a dream to build an Earth-Sheltered home to save energy and live free. We purchased the Kubota B26 TBL to save money and avoid the disappointment from poor quality work from contractors. We simply choose to do most of the work our selves. We will be using our B26 to build our new Earth-Shelter home in Sallisaw Oklahoma. We were going to do this in Tennessee and then Pennsylvania but the cost of land on the east cost and the commute to work prompted me to move to the country and remove much of life's stress. Some of the task the B26 will be performing are as follows: lot clearing, driveway installation, footing/foundation installation, water line installation, septic system installation, movement of building materials and equipment with pallet forks, support of Terra-Dome super structure installation, installation of under slab utilities in home, covering our Earth-Sheltered home from east to west walls and roof, landscaping and other property improvements or maintenance activities as required.

Attached are a few pictures and a PDF of our floor plan
