B2650 ROPS light mounting bracket?

I mounted a light bar on the roll bar of the tractor with hose clamps. I mounted led pods on the back of my truck with zip ties. I intend on putting hose clamps on those but before I got far I hit one with a trailer hitch and it broke the zip tie and didn’t hurt my light. Not that a less than $10 light would be a significant loss. I decided to leave my really crappy mounting job alone since it might take future hits.

s219 -- don't know about you but I don't want the lights shining into the back of my head. Or right in my face if I turn around. Need them much higher.

Rob80 -- take a look at the pictures I posted earlier in this thread. You can see where I installed a switch. On my tractor there was a rubber grommet there. No cutting, just pulled out the grommet and dropped the switch in.

I do not have that spot on my dash.

I mounted my on-off switch to the right on my dash where the blank-off plate is (the plate is for features if you have the cab)

BTW is it worth upgrading the stock head lights to LED? to get more light...

I replaced my 1156 bulbs with 1156/7506 led bulbs. Quite a difference.

Purchased the led’s at NAPA auto parts. 2 bulbs for $14.99.

I'm sure the LEDs with throw the light further too. I like the bright white. Now if you really want some light at night... mount some on your ROPS! The bucket gets in the way of night work.

I picked up four small LED lights for my 2650, two for the front and two for the back. My thoughts were to disconnect the stock headlights at the back of the bulb itself, and take that wire out, and run it to the ROPS, mounting the LED lights to the bolts that are already on the ROPS hinge. That should allow me to use the stock light switch for the newly mounted front LED lights on the ROPS.

For the rears, I was THINKING of disconnecting the side flashers, and using the bracket they are mounted on to mount the new LED lights, and with any luck, there will be a flasher module I can unplug and then use the flasher switch for the rear lights. That or get a switch and use the power from the factory rear work light wires that are under the seat.

You could instead just leave the stock headlights alone and tap off of that hot wire with a new feed to a relay. Your stock switch is still the on/off, but while it activates the factory headlight sockets it is also firing a few milliamps to a relay where you then feed to your ROPS mounted LED cubes. N need to disable the stock lights, just swap the incandescent bulbs for LED, tap off for your relay and your all set.

Or use the OEM 10amp (120 watt) wire at your right side rear fender/rops, and run that power through an appropriately rated switch that you mount to your right side plastic fender trim, and then up to your ROPS LED cubes. That is what I did.

Paul are those the 'nilight' brand from amazon? How long have you had those? I'm just curious how well they hold up over time. I just installed nilight ones this summer so hasn't been long enough to really tell.
