Yahoo...just had my B3030 delivered Saturday! Managed to run the full tank of diesel out mowing 4-5' tall grass up & down some fairly steep hills. Gave that little tractor a pretty good initial workout. Rained on Sunday & out of town this week - rats! Get this: Upon seeing the dust, pollen, etc. on the front grill when I finished my wife said, "Maybe you need to put a bra on it, you know, like Bob has on his car." When I finished giving her the look she redeemed herself by saying, "Why don't you get Robert to build you another bigger barn to put it all in." Got to love 'um huh?

If you put a bra on it, make sure air can pass through to the radiator and engine.

Get yerself an air compressor. Those blower tools are just the tool to blow off all the stuff the radiator sucks into the engine compartment.

The hotter it gets outside, the dryer it gets outside and in the fall of the year things only get worse.

I do like Bowman does. I have a wand for the compressor from harbor freight.

Bra ? Is your front end sagging LOL /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My B3030 grille gets completely covered with dandelion fuzz and other stuff when I mow at this time of year. When I am finished I always blow it and the entire tractor off with compressed air. I also raise the hood and pull out the radiator screen and blow it out, too. If the dust is really bad I will remove the grille and blow out the area behind it. I don't know if a bra would help much. It would have to be able to pass a lot of air just like the grill. The grill actually does a good job of filtering the air being drawn into the engine while allowing air to pass. I did have to stop once and clean it while mowing some very dry canary grass last fall. I noticed the engine temperature gauge creeping up a little. After cleaning the grill the gauge went back to normal. Bottom line is you wouldn't want to put anything on there that would restrict the airflow to the radiator. It needs it to keep the engine cool.

I use compressed air occasionally but most times I use the hand held lawn blower. I can take that into the field too.
