I have a New Holland 1720 with FEL, no complaints, has been a excellent problem free tractor. I ran on to what I thought was a great deal on a B3030, 750 hours. The enclosed cab with heat and AC was a great motivator. Question is will the Kubota do ever the NH did. NH seems to be built a little beefier. And I don't know about the HST compared to a 12 speed on the NH. I owned a NH boomer with a hst and I hated it. Was not a efficient or productive tractor. Got rid of it. My neighbor has a B2600 series and I can clean the snow or do any other grading a lot faster than he can. Seems like the is always running the engine at a much higher speed than I have to, to get the same amount of work done. I don't especially like the shifting of forward to reverse then plowing snow or working in close quarters on the NH. And as I am getting older and stiffer I thought I might like the cab, heat & AC plus I think I get my wife to use the Kubota in her yard work, save her from pushing a wheel borrow. The equipment I have for the NH will have to work on the Kubota. I know this might be a little big for the NH and might work the Kubota even harder. I have a 7' grader blade (with snow shoes on it) 5" box blade, 5ft York landscaping rake. I never used the or abused the NH hard when using the equip. IL had even used a 8' grader blade on the NH for years. That would clean my drive way in about two swipes, but I ran on to a 7' with snow pads and I even use them when grading soft dirt. I have the B3030 in the shop now as I am doing a lot of maintaince that has been neglected. I don't understand why some one would treat a tractor this way. I think has set out most of the time. Couple of dents in hood, which I have already straightened and repainted, want to replace the torn seat, they thought the AC was broken as it wouldn't cool. Turns out when checking it over that the AC belt was gone. Again how will the B3030 perform and hold up against the NH 1720?

Have a ford 162O.
purchased new, has koyker FEL, great little tractor. Remember both your tractor and kubota are produced by the same Japanese mindset, although different firms.

Difficult to transcribe into words but the two tractors have a different " feel" to them. Neither is negative, just drive differently. If after testing the kubota, and it appeals, I would not hesitate on a kubota purchase, absent any disclosed issues.

On paper they are pretty close in specs, Kubota base weight is about 400 lbs less, 3pt lift at 24" is less then 100 lbs difference.
Same size engines, close HP and only 100 rpm difference for rated engine speed (200 kubota vs. 2500 NH). Only .5hp difference on pto. 23.5 NH vs 23 on Kubota)

Should be pretty close on what NJthey can do, but with the advantage of the cab and climate control on the Kubota.

I prefer Kubota tractors but have always liked the Shibaura Fords/NH.

Not sure on a 7ft blade, I know my 6ft is all my slightly smaller B2620 can handle and a 5.5ft would be better, unless the snow is light.
The box blade and rake won't be a problem.
