The larger size R4's. I want them. Tell me that I can use a 3ph finish mower and not rut and muddy the one acre of old farm land that passes for our front lawn.

Woods BH80x backhoe. "Looks" huge slung off the back of the B3300. Too much hoe for this tractor? 16" bucket too big for light, general purpose digging?

Thanks, U

Some people put the Woods BH80x on the B3200/3300, but it is really probably too big for this size tractor. A much better fit is the Woods BH70x, or even better, just go with the Kubota hoe that is meant for it.

The R4's should be fine on the lawn.

Yes, mguitas, the BH77 does fit better, about 18" closer to the hitch points, and not so massive off the back end. It's about $500.00 more than the BH80x leftover and the dealer assured me repeatedly that the BH80x is not too much hoe for the B3300, but I'm skeptical and leaning toward the BH77. Thanks for the input.

Thanks, Verticaltrx, the BH80x is cheaper, longer, stronger, and has double the warranty (2 years), but none of this will be of any comfort if the net result is expensive damage to the tractor frame or drive-line, and as the dealer assures me that 3300 can handle it, you can no doubt see my dilemma. I lean toward the BH77--I think.

The R4 decision has been made, I fear. Turfs on this tractor would be the equivalent of mayo on french fries--just not right.

Thanks, PapaPerk. One vote for the BH77

i think you are on the right track! the kubota hoe would be $500 more well spent if you want my opinion. i feel if you got the bigger woods hoe, you would not get the benefit of the "cheaper, longer, stronger, and double the warrenty" as it is not ment for that tractor. it would be like getting a "bigger, haul more, be more efficient" trailer to haul behind your truck, but your truck not being able to handle the "bigger, haul more, be more efficient". then what do you have? something you still can't use to it's full potential.

i think the capibilities of the kubota hoe will be more then you need. and if you needed more, you would need a bigger tractor then the b3300. just my 2 cents from a kubota owner and b3300 perspective buyer.

by the way, right on with your tire choice. i like the industrials for that kind of use. i have a b7800 (very simular to the b3300su) and i have r-4 tires, loaded, and i run on peoples lawns and do landscapping and don't leave much of a mess. i worked at a golf course for 6 years and the turf tires aren't much better then the r-4 when it comes to tearing up grass so long as you are careful and think ahead a bit.

good luck with your decision and welcome to TBN.

Good news, namesray, and well put. I lean further toward the BH77 and your informed opinion on the R4's is just what I wanted to hear, thanks.
