I have been searching the post for the answer to a few questions, I even purchased owners manuals for my equipment and still no clear answers so I could use the groups help. First off my engine oil showed over full when I took deliver of my tractor so I changed it and added 4 qt oil as directed by a IT service manual, still it showed over full. Now I have a Kubota owners manual and it specs 3.6 qt but does not state if that is with or without the filter, hate to run it overfull but don't want to run it low. Now it comes to the front Axel and wheel drive units the manuals give the capacities, shows the fill and drain locations but no mention or can I see a place to check the level. Short of draining and refilling to the amount as listed, how do you tell if the level is correct ? There is no dipstick on the front axle fill location, so how do you tell ? As for the wheel drives maybe just level with the fill opening ?

Thanks

For the front end you would only have to check for fluid level if you see a leak. :D :D
