Hi
I was mowing last night and the mower stopped with a bang. I disconnected the mower and tried to turn the mid pto as it is a belly mount and it turns about 1 revolution then grinds. The rear PTO does the same. Any ideas to the problem? Is it expensive to fix? Are parts even available? Should I fix it as it has 4100 hours on it. Thanks for your help!

It sounds like you busted the PTO gears. Depends on what you consider expensive. It's going to cost more than $50, but you won't know until you open it up and see what is really broken. Yes, parts should be available. What condition is the rest of the machine? 4100 hrs can be on its last leg, or it can be just getting broken in.
