Have owned a 1985 B7100D with a loader and Woods backhoe for about 9 months.
Love the tractor overall, but am finding that the loader does not seem to be able to lift
as much I would have thought.
Starts to struggle with a bucket full of sand, add any meduim size rocks and it's done.
Does anyone have any similar experiences? Am I expecting to much? If not any
ideas where to start looking, rebuild the hydraulic pump??

dcurry, I don't know whether I can be of any help or not, but my first thought is whether or not you've actually weighed a bucket load, or tried picking up items of known weight. If I remember right, my 1995 B7100HSD (B1630C loader) was only rated for 510 pounds. Next thought is, when it won't lift, do you hear a relief valve opening? And then I think I'd buy an in line hydraulic pressure gauge (not very expensive) to see whether the pump is putting out enough pressure. And of course, another option is to simply take it to a dealer and have them check pump pressure, relief valve setting, etc.
