B7800/similar Opinions?

Interesting comments. Is the 2910 chassis really similar to the 7800? It looks smaller. I was incorrect on the power company tractor too - it was a 2610 (24HP) - it was definitely too small for my tastes. Is the 2910 bigger? I didn't consider the 3PH control either - don't think I can live w/o position control on my 3PH. Open-loop 3PH control systems seem a bad idea to me.

Thanks, and keep it coming. Good inputs - JayC
B2910, B2710, B3030, B2630 and B7800 share similar sized frames and engines. There never has been a B2610. There was a B2410 and B7610. A smaller tractor than the other models.

Had a B7800 and BX1500 for three years. The longest I've owned a tractor and both of them did their jobs well. Traded the B7800 to a L3240HST and regretted it so traded the L3240 in a short time to a B3200 which was also a great sized tractor. The B7800 pulled a 6' Landpride RFM with no problems up the steepest hill which the L3240 did not do but double the weight with the same HP. The 6' Landpride RFM would swing the B7800 around at the bottom of the hill but no big deal after the first time and then knowing it was going to do it course the L3240 didn't get swung by the RFM. Only issue I had with the B7800 was the foot pedal has to be centered exactly for it to start and that's common on the B7800 which is no problem after you figure it out.
