Has anyone installed a beeper on thier parking brake. I can never remember to release the parking brake. It has a warning light so I just need to tie it in to the light circut. If so what beeper did ya use?? Would a backup alarm be OK?? Thamks--Bhh

My parking brake doesn't let the tractor move unless it is released. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Sounds like a beeper would work. Are you asking for a source? or just who might have added one?

I'm fairly sure as an electrical engineer that a backup alarm would work just fine. Recent backup alarms are solid state and do not use much current. The only problem I see is that if you just tie it across the light bulb circuit it will sound all the time that the parking brake is on and the key is on. On factory systems like this a timer is used so that the alarm only sounds for a limited amount of time.

Andy, I never thought about the timer. Do you have any idea where a person might obtain a beeper with a timer. I'm worried that I will prematurly wear my brakes since I forget to release it about 9 times out of 10. Thanks

Beenthere, My tractor is only a few days old and the brakes work good but there is no way the brake will hold it back when its in low range. My two previous tractors were like yours and wouldn't go with the brake engaged. I am looking for someone that has done a beeper on the parking brake or a source for a beeper. Andy pointed out that it would need a timer or it would come on everytime I step on the brake. Thanks
