Big Cars are killing Americans

Basic guardrails are good. 10 commandments with modernized common sense laws. Punishment that fits the crime and the door open for redemption and a second chance.

Like Ronald Regan always said, we need less law and more personal responsibility. Let free Americans choose what they want to drive and how to handle their own health and how to make their own money, and if there are consequences for their choices then THEY will pay it. It's not the government's role to babysit the nation.
I agree in principle, and it would be great if everyone was responsible and considerate of others, but they're not. So often other parties pay the price for someone else's transgressions.

Thanks for clarifying. It took me about 10 times reading it before I got it.
I've recently been enjoying your Groan segments, by the way.

Without reading the thread:

I was confronted with the "big trucks are dangerous" accusation many years ago. My response is still the same.

I like to drive big trucks SPECIFICALLY because ... if I am in a major wreck, my odds of coming out better than the other guy are good.
