Kinda new to the tractor thing and IMG_20190516_215105124.jpgIMG_20190523_222005049.jpgIMG_20190523_222050482.jpgI picked up a shawnee front end loader that was on a massy to35 and intend to use it on my 650g. Couple things tho. it had a cessna pump I can't seam to Mach up the modle number of. but it's gear drivin and twise the size of the one on my engin that was drivin off the front of the massy engine would I be beter off powering it off the pto or using the hydrolic take offs under the seat. I got it mocked up And not 100% sure on sizeing despite a small bucket the loader looks huge in my tractor can't find anything other than a serial number on it tho so I'm not sure what it is rated for or how much it weighs any thoughts would be appreciated

If your tractor has the ability to mount the pump to a shaft on on a pulley in the front of the engine and the loader has it’s own tank, you might be able to find adapters to fit the pump or you could power it off the rear pto. If you have a remote or two on you tractor, you could power it off of those, it might not be quite as fast if the tractor pump is rated lower gpm. A lot of those older loaders looked huge on the same size tractors because they hooked more towards the rear wheel of the tractor to help with balance more, like the old small 8n style fords because it was a aftermarket attachment . The Cessna pumps are pretty good hi volume pumps because they were used on a lot of farmall tractors that with the cotton picker attachment. Most of the old front end loaders would pick up more than what the tractor was rated for so you will probably run out of tractor before you run out of lift.

Yhea the front section of loader frame dubles as a tank Wich might be part of why its so big. I would like to power it off the front but there is no room under the hood with the cooling fan and the loader wraps around both sides. My concern with powering it off the pto is even in high it's only about 1000 rpm when the engine isat 2800 is that gona cut the pumps gpm to 1/3 then?I defently think I have enough loader I do rember seeing in of them Ford's that looked like it could lift twice as high as it should.

I ended up hoking the pump up to pto with a 3 to 1 gear reduction and even in low has decent spead could probably left it in high and straight coupled it. But now I have the problum of everyone I hit the cluch the hole thing gose limp. Think I relay need to figure out the. Hydrolic take off it apers I need a plate that bolts to 3pt valve I stumbled across it in a difrint thread. Dose anyone nor what it's called or ware I can get one. It's what the hose is hooked to in this guy's picturblock.jpg
