OK, long time lurker, first time poster. Looking at a compact loader for my parking lot snow removal. I have found a bobcat 2400 and a swinger 3000 locally. The bobcat has aux hydraulics and the bobcat quick attach plate but is twice the cost of the swinger. Fabbing a quick attach plate and adding a 3rd valve as well as plumbing aux lines down the mast would be a pain but it is worth it if the machine is cheap enough. Are there any large blaring weaknesses in either of these machines? Can I still get parts for the 2400? Does anyone still stock swinger parts?

Don't know anything about either one, but think an articulated loader is neat. and you definitely need the quick attach plate.

They are kinda cool. I'd be interested in one of those if it had a heated cab and aux. hydraulics for my snowblower.

The Toolcat has heat, hydraulics and SSQA. They are very popular for snow removal.
We use the air conditioning more than the heater.

I recently spent quite a bit of time looking to trade my skid steer for a Toolcat. Toolcats are rare and go for big money in the northeast unless they're rusted out and have over 3,000 hours on them. I would have had to trade a very nice skid steer for basically a used up machine unless I wanted to throw in another $15-20k with it.
I gave up the search and decided that my S185 does all I need & more. The money I would have spent to move to a Toolcat is being used to update the bucket truck for my business. A Toolcat was more of a "want" than a need.

I used to work for the company that manufactured the Swinger loaders before they were discontinued and obtained a lot of the information, build sheets, material list, vendor/supplier information and lots of other stuff. I am currently in the process of having some of the more common parts & obsolete parts reproduced based off original drawings & specifications.
