I wont get into what a 9L will lift, lol. But I doubt any bobcat tractor will lift 2000lbs. Im curious to what others have lifted.

Well I guess I'll have to find out what the loader can lift. I certainly don't want anything less that 1700 lbs. What would be the point?

Bobcats site is a little tricky but the specs are there. You have to click on request a brochure and download a PDF and the loader specs are on it.

Heres the link to download the PDF
Compact Tractors Family Literature - Bobcat Company

It says that the ct335 which is the 8tl loader will do 1300 @500mm forward and 1650 @ the pins. The ct440 and up that have the 9tl can do 2050@500mm and 2600@ the pins. So it looks like you need to look one size bigger or your requirements.

Try this link

3 pt. Front-End Loader Specifications - Bobcat Company

Never mind...it does not show the 8tl and 9tl specs.

That is the same link that the op posted. It is incomplete as it does not list the lifting specs for the 8tl and 9tl loaders which is what he is looking for. You have to download the PDF to get all the specs

Edit: Nevermind this post either. I see that you mentioned this already

Specs specs specs and books books books..........whatever. I have the 335 and am extremely dissapointed in its lift. If you need 1700 lbs, you will be sorely dissapointed. I bought the Bobcat brand forks and they are nice and all, but i didnt realize they weigh 550 lbs. I cannot even pick-up a pallet of bark mulch which weighs 1000-1200 lbs. Oh I have the 8TL

That's sad to hear. I've been taking a second look at the tractors I've been window shopping. Makes me wonder how it will perform with a front mounted snowblower.

I think the problem is people expect to buy a mid size CUT and expect full size Ag tractor loader capacities. I am not surprised you can't lift 1,000lbs of bark mulch with a set of 550lb forks with a loader spec'd at 1,700lbs. Not only are you almost at the max lift capacity but the load is also much further out from where a normal load in the bucket would be which severely lowers any loaders lift capacity. I doubt there is any other sub-40hp CUT tractor that will lift that so to be dissapointed in it's abilities makes no sense, for it's size and cost it performs very well compared to the other tractors/loaders in it's class.

The Kubota L3400 only has a lift capacity of 1,142lbs at the pins. The John Deere 3120 with 300CX loader is rated at 1,598lbs. The Bobcat CT335 is rated at 1,650lbs at the pins and 1,300lbs 500mm (19.68 inches) in front of the pins. If you need to lift pallets like that the CT440 is better rated for that at 2,600lbs at the pins and 2,050lbs 500mm in front.

Great thread. Keep the comments going.

Its true as you say, I'm not expecting great things from a mid sized tracter. I just like to learn real life experiences to help decide. Just like the comment you made using pallet forks. The loader might lift 1000 at the loader pins, but put that 1000lbs out at the 4ft tip of the pallets and you'd be certain not to get he same performance. All good info.
