Ever since I removed the float bowl to clean the filter, the thing has leaked a bit. Then it drained the tank and my neighbour ran it dry, so off it came again. I tightened it carefully with a channel lock wrench. No go. Last night I assembled the thing and tightened it gently against the O ring. It leaked about a litre overnight.
Bleeding the fuel system after every attempt to fix it makes me reluctant to deal with this. It seems diesel leaks are a bit beyond my level of mechanical competence, but I wonder if there is a cracked part somewhere above the filter bowl.
How do I fix it?
Does anyone have a good supplier of replacement tires for this tractor? Fronts are Bridgestone 6-12 diamond pattern and the rears are 8-16's.
