Hi Guys:
Well I been doing a bit of work on the farm lately & one of the first ever mods I did to my tractor or the implements was to add a Ball to my Box Blade. Well after 11 or so years of the Ball being on it I cut it off and put in a Receiver Tube in it's place.
Here is a few pics, yes the BB needs sandblasted and re-painted (maybe this summer?)
OLD plate where I had the ball mounted and the square hole cut out for the Receiver Tube.

Where I tacked the Tube to the BB Center Tube where Scarfers mount.

Inside of BB W. Tube slide thru the cutout.

Inside of BB welded to the Back of BB.

OLD Ball plate cut off and Tube sunken in, I shot on some Black Spray Paint but no pics...

All & All it took maybe 1.5hrs start to finish, the Receiver Tube cost 20bucks at HF, I used maybe 2 cutoff wheels on the grinder and a bit of a 1/4" steel grinding wheel to finish up the removal of paint & rust and weld in the area I added the tube to. I used my 20yr old HF Welder Gas 120vac with .023 wire and cranked it up and made dual passes to be sure it is well stuck. Turned out well and happy, it dont show in pics but I tipped it down some and will make up a Block Off plate. for when I'm pushing/pulling snow/gravel etc...
