Looking at a box blade for my 850. I've been told that I want a box that is wider than my rear tires, which makes for a 6' box. Is my 850 going to be able to handle a box that big?

Everything will have its limits.
You will need to decide if putting up with narrower width and not engaging all the ground behind the wheel path is better/worse than taking a smaller bite.

If you have MFWD (4x4) and ag tires, I suspect it will pull the 6ft BB reasonably well, and do even better with the 5ft. If you don't have 4x4, you might want to consider getting the tires loaded with ballast, if not already done. As mentioned, every tractor will have limitations with just about every attachment. Whichever size you decide to get, you will have to learn how much material you can load up the BB with just before it begins to stall the tractor out. Once you learn that, you can stay within that amount and move stuff all day long. Good luck!
