Brakes not working on GC2300

Thanks for all the info guys. I guess I expected the brakes to be more like those on a car. But from what you've all said, it sounds like mine are working the way they should. Thanks again.

A hydo like this stops when you return the pedal to the neutral position, without brakes.

The brakes are pretty much for parking, and controlling the machine when it wants to roll.
