Branson question

Can a Century dealer perform warranty work on a Branson? I have a great Branson price but don't like the dealer. Thanks

I ain't going any higher on the Ebay deal, too far to travel, though it is a good deal. I do have a Branson dealer close by that quoted me a super price but I don't have a lot of confidence in him.

I don't think there is an agreement between American Jawa (Zetor/Century) and Branson. Here is a discussion from last year on the subject.

If the Century dealer wanted to do service/warrantee work for free, he can work on any tractor. But a Century dealer will not get reimbursed for warranty work on a Branson. In regard to pricing, I do not comment on what dealers charge. To service a customer properly the dealer needs to make a fair profit. You will need service. Maybe you could come to a compromise with the Century dealer. Good luck with what ever you buy.

I know for a fact the Century dealer isn't coming off anymore, and I know I don't like the Branson dealer who is two thousand dollars less. I like what I have seen and heard about both the Branson and Century. But, I have about decided to say the heck with it and buy something else, this is too crazy. Why on earth would I spend two thousand dollars, or 15 percent more, for the same tractor except in name? Why would I buy a tractor from a dealer,though much cheaper, whose reputation is less than stellar? It is much easier to just go buy something else. Part of my dilema, I am sure, is that the market is just beginning and the lack of good dealerships is making this more of a chore than it should be. South Carolina. We could sure use more dealers here. Wish I was able to be one. Except for the Century and Branson dealers which are very few in this state, we mainly have JD, Massey, Kubota and NH closeby which is somewhat puzzling. While I am not sure of the farming demographics, there is a good bit around here, not sure what has held up the growth of Zetor, Kioti and other lesser known brands, except maybe brand loyalty.

I cannot answer for anyone else but me... I am a Branson / Kioti / Bearcat dealer, NOT a Centry dealer... At this time, I will not do warranty work on a Centry. However, I will fix, repar, service, etc ALMOST all brands of tractors. (there are a few tractors out there that I wll not allow in my shop or on my lot!) My warranty is for my coustomers if you know what I mean..

Ok, you have a company you don't like (and aparently others don't either based on how you discribe their reputation) that is cheap. You have a company you do like that is $2k more. Maybe the cost of being a good reputable dealership is $2k per unit.

So you either do business with someone you distrust and may not have a longterm business. Or you buy from the reputable business and help them keep their door open.
