Bucket grapple

   / Bucket grapple #11
I found this grapple on CL for $1000. Says it brand new that he gets from a friend that manages a shop. It has the Tomahawk name on the guard.

Does anybody have any experience with bucket instead of a brush grapple. It looks like it would be good for manure and hay removal. But I'm wanting to use it to separate some big brush piles into smaller more manageable piles.

Also is the namebrand reputable. I guess the price is a steal. The tractor I want to use it on is a 55 hp NH. I know it's been sitting on CL for awhile.

I'll throw in my 2 cents - if you are planning on cleaning stalls and there is old hay in with the manure (horses, goats?) then an open tine (NO tie bar in front- between tines) version will work better, think of a pitch fork, ever seen a pitch fork with the tines tied together at the front?? no tied tines...jmo

Hey thanks for the link to Titan. I think even if I got a cheap one I could maintain it and fix what ever I tear up. I have a 4 in 1 on my hoe for anything really big. So this would be used primarily for lite work and places I can't take a 2wd backhoe into. I had looked at a bucket thumb before. I'm not sure it would do what I want. I know the thing to do is spend the 2 grand on EA grapple. I would like to build one but can't seem to find the time to spend in the shop. I think if I get a basic one I can keep it going. By the way when cleaning up manure and hay with a GP bucket it tends to just push and roll There is always some left. Thanks for everyone's help.

I have been using this Thumb grapple 36" bucket grapple for several yrs now. I really like it. I don't have to remove my bucket and install a grapple. Everything ( bucket & grapple) are there when ever the need arises
