I'm selling my flail mower. If a beautiful, smooth, contoured appearance is important, you want to mow with a flail mower. Flail mowers are ideal for contractors, government entities, lawn care professionals, contractors, property owners and homeowners with larger yards.

I have taken good care of this mower and I keep it inside when its not in use. I have fine cut knives on it at this time for a smooth finish. I also have a new set of fine cut knives and ruff cut knives to go along with it.

You can run this mower with a PTO HP as little as 25HP, but a 30+ PTO would be best and much easier on your tractor. Looks like a nice mower
I have not heard good things about flails cutting this wiry stuff we can grass in our part of TX. How has this one worked for you in your part?

I have mostly used this flail for mowing areas where the grass was more of a lawn type. In lower grass, 14" or less, it cuts very well. I have run it through some taller grass in a paster with the fine cut knives where the grass was very tall, 3'+ and thick and it did okay, but no where close to cutting like a rotary brush hog would do.

When I bought this flail, it had the ruff cut Y type knives on it and it would mow the heavy thick grass much better then it will with the T style fine cut knives I have on it now. If you lined this flail up next to a rotary type brush hog mower and ran them at the same time in a heavy grassed paster, the flail will fall behind.

This flail mower with sharp fine cut knives has cut much better then any finish mower I have owned or mowed with.

I have a big finish flail, too. They do a great job of chopping up the long clippings and leaving a finish look.
I'm not using it quite as much as I'd like, so I may be selling mine, too. I really need a sickle or disc mower. I'm in Phila, PA suburbs.
