I have a Woods rear blower (SS52) and a Woods rotary cutter (BB48). They are built like tanks. I couldn't be happier with them. They perform flawlessly. In my opinion you get what you pay for with equipment. Just my 2 cents...

When I went shopping for a rotary cutter, I was able to to actually put eyes and hands on many versions, inckuding the 3 you listed.
This is my opinion.
The Land Pride medium duty had heavier (thicker) metal in the body and side skirt. Also, the gear box and gears appeared bigger, heftier, and stronger. That's what sold me.
Around my neck of the woods, the Land Pride cost more than the Woods, Howser, and others, but less than the Bush Hog brand.
I use my cutter to mow 20 acres about three times a year, plus I've used it to clear about five acres with 2-3 year old trees and brush. Never the first problem. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Land Pride to my best friends.

I have a 6ft Landpride that I run with a 35hp 4x4 tractor. I've cut trees with it that were serveral inches thick without any problems. Grass is always fun, but if it's a foot tall and of a very thick variety, you will need plenty of HP. When I get to cutting tall bahia and/or bermuda, I will have to down shift to my slowest gear to keep the RPM's up.
I don't know anything about the other brands, but with Landpride, they have a partnership with Kubota, which makes getting parts real simple. I also have another dealer that sells Landpride, but he's not in the same leage as Kubota when it comes to getting parts. Just like your tractor, support is always the most important aspect on what to buy. It will break, no matter the brand, so being able to get parts is crucial.
