Kubota BX 1500,Cub Cadet LTX 1042
I was removing some snow today, not a lot, so the tractor was not under much, if any, of a load. When I went to back up it sputtered for a split second. It was so quick I thought I was imagining it. I continued and while I was removing snow it did it a couple times more.
I stopped and looked in the fuel tank and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I filled the tank up(it was down about 1/4)and drove it around some and then left it idle at full throttle and it didn't miss a beat.

I changed both fuel filters 2 months ago. I usually put power serve in the tank and my fuel can for the winter but haven't done it this year yet. I also keep the tank full in the winter. The tractor is stored in an unheated garage and has not had any fuel issues before.

I'm going to the store to get some power serve to put in the tank and the fuel can, hoping that this will take care of it.

I ran the tractor about 2 weeks ago and it didn't have any issues.

The temperature today was 25 degrees and had been between 50 degrees to has low as 18 degrees in the past 2 weeks.

Should I start worrying that it might be something more than maybe just a fuel issue?

The only time I experience a split-second sputter is when, under certain circumstances, I inadvertently scootch forward a little or move in such a way that my butt isn't fully applying all my weight onto the tractor seat and the kill switch activates momentarily. If there isn't any chance this wasn't happening then I'm afraid I have no other suggestions, but there's a lot of folks on here with WAY more knowledge on trouble shooting stuff than me...:)

Since it didn't do it anymore after you filled it up I don't think you have any thing to worry about unless you just want to worry.
Every tank of fuel is another different batch of fuel from a different truck and from a different storage tank that may have sat for awhile or is turned over several times a day or a week. Some guy may have peed in the tank to determine the value in gallons of his pee.:) Who knows:D. Don't worry unless it starts doing it often and with different fuel from different fillings.
