I currently have a BX 2360 with turf tires. They were selected to minimize damage on my lawn I'm about to upgrade to a BX 25 and would like to know what tires the majority are using on their BX 25's. Most of the ones I see have the "industrial " tire and I'm leaning toward the turf tires for the reason I mentioned above am I going to sacrifice too much grip especially on wet turf? Comments

First, I don't have a lawn. My brother next door has a lawn. I have a yard. I've had several BXs, some Bs and an L. I currently have a BX25 with industrial tires. I've had turfs and like them but I "believe" the Inds are heavier duty tires which I want since I use the BX25 for the FEL and BH. I've had no damage on my "yard" with any of the tires or have had damage to my "yard" with all of my tires. The damage was caused by my driving habits/actions more than the tires, in my opinion.
I have really wide turfs on my F3080 and can tear the yard up easily with it if I get to aggressive with the turns at high revs or I can mow with nary a torn blade of grass with it if I'm paying attention on the uphill turns.
Stone me if you want but I believe it's more the driver than the tires for mowing with the BXs.:)

my 2360 has industrial tires and I have mowed when the grass was soaked and it was raining out and didn't leave any marks, I am sure they are a bit harsher than the turfs but no big deal. As for using the loader you will probably make fewer ruts with the industrials because they will tend to spin a little less than the turfs do which is what really damages the lawn

in wet turfs, you are going to slip no matter what. Getting a BX25 with BH dismounted is identical to having your current BX, your experience already tells you all you need to know. DO you have anything you hate about the turf tires? My guess is no. I have turfs on my BX24 and do not regret it at all. happy hunting....

Got a call from my dealer this afternoon and they increased the amount of my trade in significantly and the deal was made. A BX 25 will replace my BX 2360 next week. They will include the three point hitch and the front grill. Another pleasant surprise this afternoon, my wife had the opinion that the tractor was a nice man toy with limited real use on our 1 acre lot. Well this afternoon she decided a dead portion of the hedge had to come out but didn't want me to get shovel and pick ax to do it with my back. No problem got my trusty BX ( with chain hooks on the front bucket) and in a very few minutes the dead portion was removed and out at the street for tomorrows trash ... she now thinks the tractor is a good thing for our home ..... yes!

I would go for the R4's. Turfs would be better if you were just mowing, but for varied use the R4's are the way to go...IMO...

Put turfs on mine and no regrets, and I hardly ever mow with it. Spend plenty of time in the woods and have had no problems. Just use 4WD when needed. They do plug up with mud when it's wet, but will shed it pretty quick, usually when I drive on my driveway and leave what looks like divots everywhere. :(

I also find turfs work real good in the snow, at least on paved areas.
