Well it finally happened. My 3 year old BX22 with 420 hours finally broke something other than a air filter bracket and rear plastic light covers I knock off. I was digging out a stump (the last of 6) and just as the tree stump popped out of the ground there was a load pop and and spray from the front of the tractor. A hydraulic hose on the FEL burst. I was using the BH but the FEL hose burst. The hole was right below the connector so I guess it had bent back and forth many times. I have used the BH and FEL a lot. I also put them on and take them off quite often. They do not stay on unless I am using them and I have even taken them off and put back on the same day. The stumps I was digging out were no more than 8-10inch trunk at the max, most even smaller.
Anyway I went to my dealer and he says he can order the parts or I can remove it and take it to a hydraulic place a couple miles away where he has hoses made up. I opted to take them there myself so will pull off the hose tonight and take over tomorrow.
Anyone else have a hydraulic line burst on their BX? Due to age and use, should I pull other lines off and have re-done?
