I put my backhoe on then went to put my mmm on. Noticed that the deck would not go up or down. Can't find a problem. Nothing seems bent etc. When I look at the hydraulic lines they are indicating that they are trying to work. After reading this board I see that the 3 pt hitch and MMM are pretty well connected. Could putting the backhoe on wrong somehow be causing the 3 pt hitch to be bound up which could then stop the mm from moving? If not then any ideas?. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
When you have the bh on the tractor, you can't lower the mmm because the lift arms on the 3pt will hit the bh deck as they come down. The raising and lowering of the 3pt and the mmm are both controled by the 3pt lever on the fender. One other thing. Is the speed adjustment knob for the 3pt (just below the front of the tractor seat) closed all the way clockwise. If so, even with the bh off the tractor, the deck and 3pt will not raise or lower.
Thanks for the info and the welcome. Took the BH off this AM and the deck works fine. The 3 pt Hitch was actually under the bh platform. I guess I shouldn't be mowing with the bh on anyways although I did some last year. I did have a few close calls though because you never do get use to the added length.
One thing I learned TWICE the hard way--if you are mowing with the FEL on, curl the bucket all the way UP and raise it enough so you can see the end of the cutting edge of the bucket.
My shed has TWO "L" shaped gouges where I clipped it with the FEL while mowing........
