Start the tractor and let it warm up for 15 minutes and then check again. As the oil gets hot, it will expand. With a clear liquid, it is hard to tell exactly where the level is. If you wipe it clean, insert it in the dip stick hole, remove and place on a brown paper bag, the oil will leave a mark that you can see and compare to the line on the dipstick. The difference between almost full and over full is very little at the top of the transmission case. Better to be a few ounces short, than over filled. The best way to know exactly how much to put back is to measure exactly how much you take out. Also, don't forget to compensate for the filter. That is another pint and a half approximately.
