BX2200 FEL

Thanks to all that posted help about the tractor descission. I've decided on the BX2200 with FEL, 60"MMM and 4ft landpride box scrapper. Test drove this setup this Saturday. Question is that the setup did not include a front grill guard - Is this an additional add-on or should it be included with the FEL. Would like to know before I finalize the deal and/or pay for the grill guard at an additional cost. Thanks

The grill guard is an add-on to the FEL. I didn't get one with my BX, either....sorta bugged me. Now there are two styles, the old style and the new style that the BX22 uses...it looks real nice, even has BX as part of it. I want one, but my dealer can't seem to get a price on it yet....

Let me know how much your dealer is going to charge for it, and whether its the new or old style.

Congrats on the new tractor, like Charliebrn said the grill guard is extra. I paid $50.00 for mine, I have not seen the new style, sounds interesting. I would reccomend getting one though, mine has been hit a couple of times while using the loader to push up a brush pile. Did not hurt the guard at all, it's already paid for its self in my mind.

I got a grill guard with my new BX 2200 last week, it was $145.00 and was back ordered, should come in a week or so. I called around to a few other dealers and that was the going rate. I hope it is the updated version considering some people posted only paying $50!!!! Let us know what you paid.

I guess it should be noted that I bought the grill guard the same time as the tractor,FEL,MMM. $50.00 was the breakdown they had on the ticket but was part of a package price. However I beleive Carver Equipment has them listed on their web site for much less than $145.00, of course there would be shipping.

$145 dollars is the price I got from the dealer, but he thru it in the deal for $75. Just have to wait for it to come in (hopefully by the end of the week).

When you buy a package you almost always get a better price break, it is just the way it is. Mine was 50 dollars also when broken down to component prices, there was a break on the FEL and the MMM also. J

I did get it as a package deal BX 2200, for $12,600 with FEL, 60 deck, weight box, hook on the FEL and grill guard. That price included delivery ( about 100 miles) and 6% tax. I think I did OK???

Does the (optional) grille guard come off when the FEL is dropped or does it mount on the chassis, and stays on the tractor all the time?
Please also post pics of the new guard.

The brush guard stays with the tractor when the FEL is dropped..it actually bolts to the fornt of the frame. I wish I had a decent picture of the new one, sorry. It does look nicer and more functional than the old one...
